My Thought
Life..
What is our aim in this life? Of course as a Muslim our aim is to have a good life here in earth and also happiness in the afterdeath life. But that does not stop us from achieving greatness in this life.. so what is our target in this earth life..
Some people said they will only be happy when they have a lot of money, expensive house and cars.. but that is not I think is our aim in life.. that is the by-product of the greatness that we achieve.. you will never get happiness when you put something that is not realistic as your goal..
Actually what makes our life great is the hunger for something.. the major thing that drive our world today is a hungry for money and also for power.. which is also interrelated..
It is not a bad thing if we hunger for more money.. it is not that we are greed and never thankful for what we had.. it is this type of hunger that drives human.. think of is like this.. this life is a journey.. we are constantly pushing ourselves in order to reach that destination.. for some people the destination is quite simple.. it is good enough to have a place to live, can provide basic needs for family and have a little spare money for something else.. well that is nothing wrong with that but some people have other ambition and that makes these people stands out from others..
But then again as we continue with our life's journey we should never ever forget our 'current life'.. most people is so obsessed to achieve their destination that they have neglected their surroundings to achieve those.. I am for sure for one thing always feel that I my salary is not as much as many of my friends but then when I look at their life.. they do not spend enough time with their family to achieve that.. that is not what I want.. I rather not be rich but I have a happy family

Changing Education Syllabus
It is about time that the Department of Education of Malaysia should be changed from Exam based curriculum to a knowledge based curriculum.. there is less point actually having an education for the purpose of preparing students to take exams. This way, we only prepare the students to learn whatever in their syllabus just to make sure they have enough knowledge to answer the exam question. This I think is like having a single edge sword.
On the other hand, if we are to make changes to the education syllabus to a knowledge based one, we have to make sure that the changes is enough to be used for the next at least 10 years. Syllabus should not emphasis on the content, but rather on the values of what we want our child to learn in school.
In this Information Technology era, the single most important factor that we need to teach our children is the ability to judge things on their own and have a self discipline. The flow of information now is no longer restricted any factors, so it is imperative that we developed a syllabus that can build up our child's self discipline and also make them able to view any issues in several perspective.
During my secondary school days in MRSM, they have this Lateral Thinking (by Edward De Bono) subject that teach us to think out-of-the box. It turns out that it is one of the most valuable lessons that I have learnt because now, I have already incorporate that type of thinking onto my thinking style. If you asked me what are the teachers teach me in that subject I will do not have many recollection of the content but the important part of it is that I was able to extract the 'gist' of that subject and
apply it in my life. That I think should be the ultimate goal in our education philosophy.
